Technical SEO

The infrastructure layer, crawlability, indexability, site speed, schema, URL structure.

Definition

Technical SEO covers the under-the-hood factors that make a site crawlable and indexable: canonical URLs, XML sitemaps, robots directives, redirect discipline, schema markup, hreflang, internationalization, performance, and accessibility.

Why it matters

A site with perfect content and broken technical SEO will not rank. WordPress and Webflow sites commonly ship with technical-SEO issues, duplicate canonicals, thin sitemap, unoptimized images, layout shift, that a custom Next.js rebuild fixes on day one.

How we think about it

Technical SEO is a checklist we run against every site we ship: 301 redirect from old URLs, canonical tags on every page, sitemap indexed at Search Console, structured data validated, Core Web Vitals green, WCAG-AA color contrast. The checklist has no yellow cells.

Want this on your site, not in a glossary?

We use analytics to understand which pages help, with PII redacted and session inputs masked. Your form submissions always reach us regardless of this choice.
